Unlocking the Potential of Mini Grids in Ethiopia: Challenges and Opportunities Explored

Veritas Consulting hosted an inspiring workshop on challenges and opportunities for mini grids in Ethiopia, under the leadership of the Ministry of Water and Energy, and with critical contributions from Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) and the Petroleum and Energy Authority.

Local and international developers had a wide-ranging and candid discussion on current and rapid momentum in the sector, the public and private mini-grid pipeline, the regulatory structure governing the sector, specific interventions to support various elements, and the introduction of new investment frames (particularly for local developers).
