Hermela is a junior consultant at Veritas Consulting. She currently supports various work streams for renewable-energy-based mini-grid projects in rural Ethiopia by conducting technical analyses of tender submissions from mini-grid developers for DREAM pilot investments, providing assistance in identifying import tariff structures for project equipment, and contributing to scale-up site selection assessments.

Before joining Veritas, Hermela worked in different sectors ranging from marketing, education, consulting, and project management. She has also worked on several engineering projects including PV-Wind-Grid-integrated systems to cater to heating and basic power demands for middle-class households, and lightning arrestor installation optimization for distribution networks.
